The return of the popular profiles outlining the life and times of Rotorua people from the city’s diverse community.

Compiled by Jill Nicholas, a similar series ran for 12 years in the local newspaper until Covid brought it to an end.

Thanks to the support of the Rotorua Trust it is making an online comeback in a lively, expanded format with a new profile fortnightly.

Trust chairman Stewart Edward said reinstating the profiles was seen by trustees as a community service and an invaluable way of preserving contributions locals have made to the district’s history.
